Calling all animal lovers! The Chestnut Hill Business District and Weavers Way Co-op invite everyone  to celebrate our pets and support our local animal welfare non-profits on Sunday, July 9th, at Petapalooza 2017. Stroll the Avenue in Chestnut Hill from Noon to 3 p.m and enjoy a variety of activities for pets and their favorite humans.  Petapalooza features many local animal rescue organizations, making it a great day to adopt or consider adoptions. Exhibitors include Weavers Way Pet Store, Bon Appetite, Queenie’s Pets, Opportunity Barks, Chestnut Hill Cat Clinic, and many more.

Participating Chestnut Hill restaurants and bars will offer “Yappy Hour” specials starting at 3:00 pm; pets are welcome at participating establishments, including El Poquito and Chestnut Grill, with alfresco seating.

This is a family-friendly event  open to everyone, including your furry or feathered friends and loved ones! Many Chestnut Hill shops are dog-friendly!

Philadelphia’s Garden District is lush with culture, recreation, education and entertainment. Whether you are taking a quick city-break or venturing out for a weekend escape, the destination has so much to do, see and discover! Summer and Fall events will also include the Pastorius Park Free Summer Concert Series on Wednesday evenings, Friday Night Jazz at Woodmere Art Museum (year round), Circus Week at The Garden Railway of Morris Arboretum, Clover Market, Fall for the Arts Festival and the fan favorite Harry Potter Festival.
