This workshop will share techniques for modifying breathing that can directly reduce the development of panic attacks and anxiety symptoms. The techniques involved are very simple and use devices that measure the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide in our body and the number of breaths we take each minute. These measurements then become the basis for a biofeedback training process that, when done twice daily for 30 days, is now proven to eliminate panic and anxiety symptoms for as long as a year after completing the one-month program.
Join Marvin H Berman PhD, CBT, president of Quietmind Foundation, for a very special presentation on the use of the Freespira respiration training system and noninvasive, non-drug methods for resolving panic and anxiety symptoms. Quietmind is a leading research and treatment center for the study of alternative treatment techniques and technology in Elkins Park. Guests can have a chance to experience the Freespira and other devices that Quietmind uses to help people with a wide range of neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions. Space is limited, so reserve early.
Light refreshments will be served.
