Wellness Workshop: Diabetes & Dementia

Thursday, June 1, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Incidences of diabetes and dementia are rising steadily. To stem the tide, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control recommends “lifestyle medicine.” Join Margaret Kinnevy, RN, LAc, Dipl. Ac, to take steps to prevent Type 2 diabetes, and the dementias associated with it. Learn how to assess your personal risk factors and how to create a plan to reduce or eliminate them.

This FREE workshop is brought to you by the Weavers Way Health & Wellness Committee. Please register HEREor contact outreach@weaversway.coop.

Margaret is a community nurse educator and acupuncturist experienced in caring for individuals with diabetes and dementia. She educates those who want to prevent these two related disorders.

Weavers Way Wellness Workshops take place in the beautiful Healing Arts Studio in Chestnut Hill  every first Thursday evening of each month, through December 2017.

Weavers Way Working Member Workshops are a great way to build co-operative culture, providing on-going opportunities to share experience and information, freely.   Working members who lead workshops receive three hours of household credit towards a standing 5% stackable discount on all their purchases at the Co-op.  Interested in presenting something?
