Workshop: Flower Pressing 101

Saturday, December 15, 2018 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Press your own flowers with Martha O’Neill from Flowers I Squished. This is a nice way to preserve memories from your garden or foraging for journals, greeting cards, artifacts or gifts. We’ll learn basic how to’s and get hands-on pressing fresh flowers and making a greeting card to take home. Please bring a heavy book with non-glossy pages for pressing flowers. Other supplies and flowers are included but participants are encouraged to bring their own flowers and leaves, too.

Martha O’Neill is a farmer, herbalist and naturalist. She grows most of the plants she makes into pressings and enjoys them as field notes, preserving memories of the natural world. Martha is inspired by antique mounted flower pressings that are both art and a fun and simple craft that anyone can enjoy.

Cost: $30 per person; $15 covers supplies and a take home greeting card.
