Most food co-ops were formed by people who realized that by pooling their resources, they could save money and have greater control over their purchases. A few years ago, the co-ops of the National Cooperative Grocers Association came to that same realization and formed the Co-op Advantage Program, or CAP. These co-ops combine their buying power to get volume discounts that save their members money. Each month, The Co-op Advantage helps participating co-ops offer their members tremendous savings on dozens of products.
