Farm Education Workshops

Farm-education workshops use experiential learning to teach children, teens and adults how vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers grow. Programs have been designed in consultation with educators to ensure they fit the curriculum needs of teachers and also meet PA Department of Education standards. Lessons are intended to engage the senses, be fun and teach core values related to nutrition and sustainable agriculture. Weavers Way Farms are also a valuable destination for service learning trips. The farms welcome individuals and groups to take part in the many tasks required to operate a production farm. Visitors can help with planting, weeding and mulching as they work side by side with farmers.  Farm-education programs are offered year-round, at both farms, for all ages. Classroom lessons are available during the winter months, as well as for those unable to travel to the farm. Click on the links below to learn more!
