The WWCP Children’s Garden

Shelley Hedlund, Farm Education Coordinator at Mort Brooks Farm, uses the ¼-acre Children’s Garden for educational lessons and hands-on gardening for visiting schools. Shelley teaches youth (from pre-school to college age) about agricultural sustainability, the economics of food and healthy living, through a diverse range of topics such as composting, seeding, harvesting, beekeeping and pest management.
