Community Relief Concert Series: Hot Club of Philadelphia

Sunday, August 16, 2020 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm

The live-streaming Community Relief Concert Series is moving to Awbury Arboretum so we can accommodate a safely distanced and masked live audience in the big tent in back of the Cope Mansion. The shows are a continuation of the Community Relief Concert Series, sponsored by Weavers Way Co-op, which was originally a live-stream only series initiated by Barry Wahrhaftig of the Hot Club of Philadelphia. The goal was to help musicians and non-players impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown. A portion of each show's proceeds is sent to local charities, including Philabundance and Jazz Bridge so far.

This week's show features local Gypsy jazz group Hot Club of Philadelphia, with special guests Dave Hartl on accordion and Phyllis Chapell on vocals.

Parking on site. Tickets are $20, available through Awbury Arboretum's site.

If you can't attend but would still like to contribute, you can donate to the series and/or buy a ticket to help cover the costs of the shows. To donate, visit the Community Relief Concert Series GoFundMe page.
