Introduction to Pet Massage

Tuesday, July 13, 2021 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Canine parents know that our dogs depend upon us to provide them with a healthy lifestyle. The use of healing touch can do much to increase our pets’ wellness. In this workshop our wonderful instructor Gina Gilbert will teach us about the different energy meridians and acu-points on our canine friends' bodies. There are hundreds of acu-points on the skin. By massaging these points, Gina will show us how we can help reduce stress, increase blood and lymph flow, and improve flexibility. She will talk about tips and tools that can be used to give a soothing massage. She will show us how a gentle touch is used on acu-points on the skin. Each meridian is made up of Yin and Yang components. She will focus on the Yin aspects of the meridians in the first session and the companion Yang meridians will be addressed in the second workshop. Gina will discuss the accupoints and the energy meridians in the first part of the workshop. During the second part of the session Gina will demostrate how to massage our canine friends.

This series will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm over Zoom on July 13th and 20th.
