Make Your Own Heirloom Yogurt at Home!

Saturday, January 30, 2021 - 10:00am to 11:00am

Have you ever wanted to get into making fermented foods at home? Ever wondered where to start? Join Co-op member Deborah Moss-Gail for a primer in making yogurt at home. She will demonstrate the use of heirloom yogurt cultures and lead a discussion of equipment and processes needed for other home fermenting projects such as kefir, sauerkraut, ginger beer, and sourdough. This session will also include a brief discussion of the health implications of various fermented foods.

Deborah is a mom of a five-month-old, an avid experimenter in the kitchen and garden, a family nurse practitioner, and a full-time professor of nursing. In the midst of all these roles, she has learned to efficiently and quickly make ferments and other fun foods and is happy to freely share what she knows.

A Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to the event. Free; click here to register.
