Guest Speaker Topic: Plastic Bag Ban
Plastic pollution is reaching a crisis point, and its impact goes far beyond unsightly litter. PennEnvironment will provide an overview of the problem of plastic waste - for wildlife, infrastructure, and our health - as well as draw a connection between our growing demand for single-use plastic and the climate crisis. Stephanie will share policy solutions being advanced to addresses plastic waste, including what's happening in Pennsylvania, with time for Q & A.

About our Guest Speaker: Stephanie Wein manages PennEnvironment’s Clean Water, Conservation & Zero Waste programs. This includes working with state and local leaders to tackle plastic pollution through policy; advocating for our public lands; heading up PennEnvironment’s work to protect and restore Pennsylvania’s rivers, lakes, and streams, and spearheading the organization’s work to ensure clean drinking water. She lives in West Philadelphia.
