Driven by Community and Our Values since 1973
Weavers Way is a cooperatively owned food market open to the public. Thanks to the dedication of our members and neighbors throughout the years, a tiny buying club started by a few Mt. Airy neighbors in 1973 has evolved into a multi-store co-op serving more than 14,000 member households.
As a cooperative, we ground our efforts in the Seven International Co-op Principles. As a not-for-profit, our organization can put people and planet before profit, focus on issues such as sustainability and community, and make an extra effort to leverage local, sustainable, and ethical food producers.

Everyone can shop, anyone can join.
The food is the best.
Weavers Way is not a health-food store — although we have a wonderful selection of healthy food. We are driven by our Mission to provide access to healthy, fresh and local foods. But don't be fooled by the quality of offerings that what we sell, as we work hard to have a product mix that is affordable, with private label offerings, lots of specials and deals available to everyone.
Shop our stores and you'll see lots of fresh local fruit and vegetables — including truly local produce from our very own farms. But our commitment to local expands into all departments in our stores because we source from hundreds of local departments in grocery, bakery, meat / seafood, dairy -- even pet and wellness. By focusing on local, we are collectively supporting the local economy, and bringing some of Philadelphia's best foods straight to our shelves.
The shopping experience is terrific.
Membership has its benefits.
Anyone can shop at Weavers Way, but members get special discounts and have access to member-only services like pre-ordering and EasyPay accounts. More importantly, members are owners: What goes on at Weavers Way is your business.
Members are part of a community that works to support the local economy, that affirms sustainability is a central value, that advocates for human values and not just the bottom line.
