Weavers Way is partnering with Mural Arts, West Chelten Neighbors Association and Germantown United CDC to create a new mural, Weaving a Bountiful Harvest, located on the side of our Germantown store at 328 W. Chelten Avenue in Spring 2026 by Eurhi Jones.
The Weavers Way Germantown mural celebrates the natural abundance and seasonal rhythms of the Wissahickon landscape, highlighting the interconnected processes that sustain local food and community life. Lush imagery of the “three sisters” crops—corn, beans, and squash—appears alongside pollinators, native plants, and flowing organic forms that evoke growth, renewal, and interdependence. A central loom—modeled after one discovered in the basement of the Germantown Weavers Way store —heralds back to the Co-op’s namesake and symbolizes how soil, seeds, seasons, and people are woven together in cooperation. The mural also includes a homage to poet and neighbor Sonia Sanchez, honoring her presence and legacy within the community. Through its vibrant colors and layered natural motifs, the mural offers a joyful portrait of how food, nature, and multigenerational community life are continuously intertwined.
