Just in time for Halloween! It’s time to be swept away and learn to make a traditional
Appalachian turkey wing whisk broom. For centuries brooms have filled multiple needs such as function, ritual and decoration. We will be using authentic broomcorn to make our brooms. You will also learn a little broom lore along the way. We will start with a small broom for dusting crumbs off the table, just to get a feel for things. Then we will move on to the beautiful turkey wing. Join in the fun of this heritage handicraft!
