Dining for Women Ambler Organizational Meeting
Please join Dining for Women at the community table at Weavers Way Ambler to learn more about this global giving circle dedicated to transforming lives and eradicating poverty among women and children in developing countries. Dining for Women is interested in starting an Ambler chapter to add to the three Weavers Way chapters currently running in the Chestnut Hill/Mount Airy area. Grab a meal from the hot bar and learn about Dining for Women while we all dine together!
Dining for Women is a global giving circle that funds grassroots projects working in developing countries to fight gender inequality. Dining for Women chapters meet on a regular basis — most monthly — and share a meal together. It may be in someone’s home, in a college cafeteria, an office break room, a church hall, even your local food co-op! Members share camaraderie and learn about that month’s featured grantees through videos, educational documents and presentations, and free and open discussion. Funds raised each month go to fund the featured and sustained grantees, as well as support the entire mission of Dining for Women.
Dining for Women's collective-giving model is proving that small contributions, aggregated together, can make a huge difference. This is especially true in the most impoverished areas of the world, where some subsist on less than $1.25 a day.
All are welcome!
