Now you can help create these toys for animals in need across the country! Glad Dogs Nation is bringing sanitized stuffed toys ready for the fun and final step of the process – inserting a squeaker and stitching the toy closed. That’s where you come in! Marianne Ahren, president of Glad Dogs, will lead this wonderful workshop. Her company is committed to bringing happiness to all pets – whether they are lucky enough to live with loving families or are still in need of finding love and rescue. Their adorable handcrafted pet toys begin as unwanted kid stuffed toys. They sanitize them using biodegradable detergent, remove hard eyes and put cute appliques in their place and replace the hard noses with colorful pompoms. Then they offer the toys at a price below what you’d pay in a pet store – so no one needs to shed a tear if the toy is destroyed during play. They donate 100% of profits to Glad Dogs Foundation which funds initiatives to stem pet overpopulation, provide food and medical care for dogs, and support other innovative ideas.
