Ashley Chen-Kim, cellist, and David Morgan, violinist, will perform some of their favorite holiday pieces in the store from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Ashley Chen-Kim, cellist, plays in the Ambler Symphony. Her past orchestras include Taipei University of the Arts, Hunter College Symphony Orchestra, Voice of Spring Symphony Orchestra, Evergreen Symphony Orchestra and Taipei Sinfonietta & Philharmonic Orchestra. She performed in St. Petersburg and Moscow with conductor Alexander Rudin in 2004. In 2006, she earned her Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music under the instruction of Prof. Margo Tatgenhorst Drakos. She joined the Schleswig-Holstein music festival in the summer 2006 and toured in Europe with conductors Christoph Eschenbach, Thomas Hampson, Eiji Oue, Jaap Van Zweden and Christoph von Dohnanyi. In 2010, her piano trio, Rutgers Trio, was invited to perform at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center as an opening concert for Yo-Yo Ma. In 2011, she obtained her Doctoral of Musical Arts degree at Rutgers University under the instruction of Prof. Jonathan Spitz while being the cello principal in Rutgers Symphony Orchestra with scholarship. She has performed orchestral and chamber music in countries all over the world including Japan, Russia, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, USA and Taiwan.
David Morgan, violinist, is concertmaster of the Ambler Symphony. He has been a member of the Trenton Symphony, Delaware Valley Philharmonic, Kennett Symphony, Colorado Philharmonic, the Little Orchestra of Cambridge (Massachusetts) and Philadelphia College of the Bible Orchestra. In 1975, he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Eastman School of Music, studying with Oliver Steiner. He performed in the Eastman Philharmonia, Opera Orchestra and Studio Orchestra. He then taught in the Malden Public Schools in Massachusetts, playing chamber music and leading a string orchestra in Medford. In 1980, he graduated with a Masters Degree in Music from Temple University, playing in the orchestra and studying violin with Helen Kwalwasser. Working as a teacher of string music in the Wissahickon School District for over 32 years, he performed with students at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and 76ers as well as many other community venues. He recently played with string quartets and quintets at the Upper Dublin Public Library in addition to Church on the Mall in Plymouth Meeting, Calvary United Methodist Church in Ambler, Hope Lodge in Fort Washington and Gwynedd Friends in Lower Gwynedd.
