Moxie Tuesday Movie Night: FED UP
See the acclaimed documentary film FED UP that says: "it's time to get real about food." Journalist Katie Couric and film maker Stephanie Soechtig investigate how the food industry may be responsible for more sickness than ever acknowledged. And, according to their research, the big culprit is... SUGAR (big time). Find out how so much sugar got into so many foods, and how it's contributing to rampant under-nourishment, obesity and other health problems.
This captivating and eye-opening film is presented by Food Moxie, The Weavers Way Food Justice Committee, and Weavers Way Co-op.
Admission is gift-based, with all proceeds going directly to support the non-profit work of Food Moxie.

Food Moxie was created by the Board of Directors of the Weavers Way Cooperative Association in 2007 as a means to actively promote the health and well-being of the community in which it operates, and offer direct support to Philadelphia families in need. In the years since, Food Moxie has become an independent nonprofit organization, offering a unique range of farm, nutrition, and culinary education programs, positively impacting the lives of thousands of children and families in Northwest Philadelphia and beyond.
