Tree Tapping Workshop at WW Chestnut Hill

Saturday, February 19, 2022 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

We are in that time of year where the weather is fluctuating between winter and the breath of spring to come.  These are perfect conditions for syrup tapping.  Many are familiar with the idea of tapping a sugar maple tree but there are actually a handful of other trees that you can get tasty syrup from as well.  In this one hour workshop, local forager, healer and creative intuitive, Alicia Rink, will be getting your minds sticky with the Black Walnut Tree.  You will learn what equipment is needed,  shown how to setup a tap and have discussion on the cooking method of turning your collection it into a syrup.  Come out and get some sweet knowledge for this year and seasons to come.

Led by Alicia Rink. Free and open to everyone.
