Dorothy Bauer and Liz Traison Witkin, members of our Neighborhood Nutrition Team, will guide you on how to make infused oils and vinegars with herbs, pickling spices, pancakes mixes, soup mixes, teas and special seasonings, including Liz's special "thank you for everything" spice mix!
These handmade gifts aren't just perfect for you to give to your loved ones — they're also affordable and consumable! The jars can be reused for storage, smoothies and juices, or whatever you like! The ideal gift for the Zero-Waste friend or family member in your life!

WWNN Team Member Dorothy Bauer spent most of her adult life in Berkeley, CA, with her husband, triplet sons and a wide variety of family pets. She has certificates from Living Light Culinary Institute, Optimal Health Institute and Premiere Research, and mentored with renowned raw-food chef and author Elaina Love. Healthy food and lifestyle are her passions, with a particular focus on a gluten- and dairy-free, low glycemic diet.
Liz Traison Witkin is completing her Dietetic Didactic Internship Verification at LaSalle University. She has worked as a SNAP and nutrition educator, food justice curriculum writer, and as a chef and educator in a private dining studio. Her favorite kitchen tools are a sharp knife and a rubber spatula.
The Weavers Way Neighborhood Nutrition Team is a group of six nutritionists, dietitians and other wellness practitioners. The Team aims to bring nutrition inspiration and information to Co-op members, providing information and resources that empower members to make desired changes in their nutrition.
