Celebrating Solar Growth Through Grassroots Investment at Weavers Way Germantown
Join Weavers Way Co-op and the Clean Energy Co-op Saturday, October 19th from 1- 2 p.m., as we celebrate how grassroots investment is growing renewable energy at the Clean Energy Co-op’s latest solar project outside Weavers Way Co-op Germantown store, 328 W Chelten Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144 (Oct 26th rain date). The solar array at Weavers Way Germantown is the seventh installation of the Clean Energy Co-op, which uses an award-winning method of developing solar projects using pooled investments by its members. This pooled investment structure allows individuals to directly increase the amount of renewable energy installed in Pennsylvania.
Weavers Way opened its Germantown store this spring in an effort to expand the food choices of the Germantown neighborhood. Weavers Way worked closely with the Clean Energy Co-op to put solar on the roof of the Germantown Store, and now that’s a reality.
