Moxie Tuesday Documentary Screening: FOOD STAMPED
FOOD STAMPED follows nutritionist Shira Potash and her documentary filmmaker husband Yoav as they attempt to eat a healthy, well-balanced diet on a food-stamp budget. Through their adventures they consult with Members of Congress, food justice advocates, nutrition experts, and people living on food stamps to take a deep look at America's broken food system.
The film is presented by Food Moxie and Weavers Way Co-op. Admission is gift-based, with all proceeds going directly to support the non-profit work of Food Moxie. Suggested donation, $5 per person. Refreshments provided free of charge by Weavers Way Co-op. All are welcome! Doors open at 6:30 p.m., showtime is 7.

Food Moxie was created by the Board of Directors of the Weavers Way Cooperative Association in 2007 as a means to actively promote the health and well-being of the community in which it operates, and offer direct support to Philadelphia families in need. In the years since, the staff and board of Food Moxie have developed a highly specialized range of farm, nutrition, and culinary education programs, affecting the lives of thousands of urban children and families in Northwest Philadelphia and beyond.
