Movie Night: 'TAPPED' - POSTPONED!

Tuesday, July 23, 2019 - 7:30pm to 10:00pm

The screening of TAPPED has been postponed to Thursday, August 15, from 7:30pm-10pm.  Come early and enjoy grilled burgers and hot dogs (vegan dogs, too) as part of our Grill Fest from 4-7pm.

The Weavers Way Plastic Reduction Task Force, in partnership with The Sierra Club, is pleased to present "TAPPED," an acclaimed documentary that peers into the obscure world of the bottled-water industry. JOIN US for this FREE screening OUTSIDE in the Backyard behind Weavers Way in Chestnut Hill.

“TAPPED” reveals a mostly unregulated industry that privatizes our water and sells it back to us. From the production of plastic bottles to the ocean where so many of them end up, we follow the machinations of bottled water and witness how communities are affected. This revelatory film depicts a powerful story that remains largely omitted from everyday discourse and features portraits of lives caught at the intersection of big business, environmentalism and the public’s right to water.

Make a picnic or it with delicious selections from our Hot Bar and Salad Bar. BYO adult beverage, lawn chairs or blankets. Settle in any time after 7:30 p.m and enjoy free watermelon while the sun sets. Showtime at 8:30 p.m. sharp!
