Working Membership

Volunteering at the Co-op as a working member is optional, but we encourage everyone to give it a try. Members who work develop relationships with the community, staff, farmers and vendors, and help make the Co-op a better place.

Working members receive all the benefits of membership plus an additional 5% off all purchases.

Every new member is signed up as a working member for the first four months of membership and can immediately take advantage of the 5% discount.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Weavers Way Cooperative Association to operate a grocery-based consumer organization that is owned and governed by its members, and to build community, both within its membership and in the communities it serves.

We do things cooperatively. We encourage each member to contribute to and participate in all activities we undertake as a cooperative. We follow and promote the International Cooperative Principles, support other co-ops and cooperative efforts, and educate our members and our community about consumer issues and the cooperative movement.

What Is a Co-op?

Cooperatives are unique businesses that are owned by the people who use their services. So, in our case, we're a market that's owned by people who shop here. While not everyone who shops our stores is a member, we wouldn't be here without those who are. Members make the Co-op possible, shaping what we do and linking us directly and meaningfully to our community.

Benefits of Membership

Everyone can shop at Weavers Way, but there are many benefits to becoming a member.

Joining the Co-op makes you an owner. So when members call Weavers Way “their” co-op, they mean it. Being a member-owner means supporting local food and Weavers Way’s commitment to the community.
